Former One Life to Live star Scott Evans was arrested for allegedly trying to purchase drugs from an undercover police officer. Evans was one-half of OLTL's Kish, one of the most popular same-sex couples in soap history.

Former One Life to Live to star Scott Evans (Oliver Fish) was arrested in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening after he tried to buy narcotics from an undercover police officer posing as a drug dealer.

The news of Evans' arrest was made public by Evans himself, as the actor took to Facebook to reveal that he'd been arrested.

"Most ridiculous night of my life in LA so far," Evan wrote. "At least I made it a year before getting arrested."

Celebrity gossip site TMZ reported that it was not known what drug Evans had tried to purchase. Evans, the younger brother of The Avengers star Chris Evans, was booked around 6 p.m. for attempt to possess a controlled substance. He was released shortly after midnight after posting $10,000 bail.

Evans played police officer Oliver Fish on One Life to Live from 2008 to 2010. With actor Brett Claywell's (Kyle Lewis), Evans made up the show's first same-sex supercouple, known affectionately as "Kish."

In 2010, at the height of the couple's on-screen prominence, Evans and Claywell were abruptly let go from the show. In a statement, ABC acknowledged that OLTL had "broken new ground' with the Kish story, but the network was concerned that the gay love story didn't resonate with "mainstream" audiences.

Rumors surfaced shortly thereafter that Evans and Claywell had been fired for unprofessional behavior, an allegation that Claywell vehemently denied.

"I'd love for anyone to watch one day of any of the work we've done and tell me that Scott and I were not 100% committed to what we were doing," Claywell said at the time. "We were so dedicated to our work. It's hurtful. I'm really offended that someone would make completely false claims. I'm angry. It's slander."
